She was born in Richmond Township, Feb. 6, 1916, a daughter of Dan O. and Ida May Ditty Root. She married Clyde E. Long in 1937. He preceded her in death.
She graduated as valedictorian of her class at Cambridge High School.
She was homemaker and had worked at the former Talon Inc.
She was a great family lady who loved working in her flower and vegetable garden. She was a diligent church woman and member of Cambridge Springs Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Marcine R. Long of Cambridge Springs; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Vance Howard Long; a brother, Bill; and three half brothers, Victor, Park and Roscoe Root.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
Burial will be in Upper Cambridge Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville.
