Elizabeth Oliver Hankins was born in 1831, Roane Co., Tn. The oldest of six children of James A Oliver and Anna Stultz. She married William Hankins on 4 April 1850 in Fayette Co., IL. They were the parents of seven children. 1. Elizabeth Hankins. 2. Andrew James Hankins-b. 1865. 3. Callie Hankins-b.1856 Fayette co., IL. 4. Arazonia (may be Egonia-1860 census)b. 1 March 1858. 5. Birdie Hankins-b. 1860. 6. James Hankins- b. 1851. 7. William Hankins -b. 1869.

NOTE: In the 1900 federal census, E. A. Hankins was living with her son, James and her niece , Blanche,,Nephew, Charles. Blanche and Charles are the children of James Richard Oliver and Julia Ann Ray. James R Oliver is Elizabeths brother.
