Timothy C. Kinser, 60, of Altoona died Thursday morning at his residence.

He was born in Altoona, son of Leonard C. and Mary Louise (Lupfer) Kinser. He married Carol L. Maitland July 14, 1972, in Cumberland, Md.

He was a 1965 graduate of Altoona High School, a 1974 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and a 1992 graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Tim worked at Wissinger's, part time for 20 years at Daniel R. Myers Funeral Home and 20 years in the men's clothing department at J.C. Penney, Altoona. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Altoona Ward.

Mr. Kinser was an avid train collector and he enjoyed music.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, with Bishop James Hite officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
