Mrs. Jack Baird, daughter of Jim Rhodes of the Cowden community, died Sunday at her home "close to Cowden". She was born in 1903. In 1917, she was married to Omer Herring. To this union, one child was born. Her husband died in 1918.
In 1922, she was married to Jack Baird. One child was born to this union.
In 1923 she was united with the Pentecostal Holiness church. She leaves her husband, two children, her father, three brothers, and three sisters and a host of friends and other relatives to mourn her death.

Mrs. Eunice Lela Ray Baird died at the family home at 1109 North Third Street Sunday after a prolonged illness of eight months. She was 25 years old at the time of her death.
Funeral services were held at the Cowden cemetery where the body was interred, Monday. Mrs. Baird left her husband, J. E. Baird; and two children, Earl and Margaret; three sisters; three brothers and her father, J. M. Rhodes, and other relatives.
