Crilla was the daughter of Burgess Drury Calvert and Louisa Jackson. She was married on 11 December 1878 in Fleming Co., Kentucky, to William Marshall Kissick, a son of Henry William Kissick and Eliza Jane Evans. Crilla and William lived in Bourbon Co., Kentucky, and later in Paris, Kentucky, and owned farms in Columbus, Ohio. They had 8 children, among them were William Allen Kissick, Eliza Bell (Kissick) Sexton,
Maude Elizabeth Kissick, Oliver Price "Ollie" Kissick, Lillie Mae (Kissick) Rankin, and Virgie Kissick.
