OBITUARY: *East Liverpool Potters Gazette, East Liverpool, Columbiana Co., OH. Thursday, 01 Mar 1883, pg. 1.

George, a two year old son of Frank and Rosa Allison, was scalded so badly on Tuesday, by falling in a boiler full of hot water, that he died at 11 1 - 8 o'clock Tuesday night, after suffering great agony. The distressed parents have the sympathy of all in their sad bereavement.

*East Liverpool Saturday Review, East Liverpool, Columbiana Co., OH. Saturday, 03 Mar 1883, pg. 2.

Child Burned to Death

A little two year old son of Frank Allison, who resides on Third street, while playing about the house Wednesday, fell head first into a boiler of scalding water which the mother had just set off the stove. Although Mrs. Allison snatched the child out of its perilous situation almost instantly, still such a quantity of the scalding water and steam were taken into the system, and the shock to the little body was so great, that death ensued in about ten hours after the accident. In this connection a physician tells us that common baking soda reduced to liquid and applied to burns will do wonders in drawing inflammation from the parts.

Allison lineage back to Thomas Allanson, English extraction, London.
