James Edmond Sanders, 1931-2008, age 77, passed away November 26, 2008 in Yulee FL. He was born in West Palm Beach, FL the son of Herman J. Sanders and Marie S. (Wolf) Sanders, and lived in Yulee, FL for the last four years. He was a retired Senior Master Sergeant with 24 years service in the U.S. Air Force, veteran of Vietnam and the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal and the U.S. Air Force Commendation Metal with three Oak Leaf Clusters. He was an avid gardener, loved the out doors and visiting with friends and neighbors. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Survivors include his brothers Fred L. (Patti) Sanders of Yulee, FL, and William R. (Cindy) Sanders of Newburg, IN, 5 nephews and one niece plus other family members. Preceding him in death were his mother and father and brothers Herman, Waring and Bruce. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held Saturday, December 6 at 2PM at the Yulee Baptist Church, Harts Road, Yulee, FL with Brother Michael Fox officiating. Interment will be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
