Born February 24, 1925, in Forestville, Md., he was the son of the late Vernon L. and Bessie R. (Tharpe) Nunn.
Mr. Nunn was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He was previous owner of Kermitile Company in York, which he began in 1949, and operated the business until his retirement in 1985. Mr. Nunn was a graduate of William Penn Senior High School. He was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church where he was former President and member of the church council. He was also a member of the White Rose Lodge #706 F & AM, Harrisburg Consistory, York Forest #30, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Zembo Temple, York County Shrine Club, Hawk Gunning Club, Victory Athletic Association, York Investment Club, and the Firemen's Relief Association. He was a former member of the Young Businessmen's Association.
In addition to his wife, Ida Jane, he is survived by a daughter, Sharon Lee Wolf and her husband, Ray of York; a son, Bradley Alan Nunn and his wife, Marion of Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren, Matthew Owen Wolf and his wife, Lisa, Tracey Dawn Trout and her husband, Richard, Hayden Fisher Nunn, and Ashlyn Nicole Nunn; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Carter Trout; two step great-grandchildren, Kendra and Tiffany Woolridge; and a sister, Dorothy I. Shearer and her husband, Robert of York.
Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery with graveside military services conducted by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Masonic services will be held at the funeral home.
