TYRINGHAM--Mrs. Freda Mc Carthy, 77, of Main St., wife of Ward McCarthy, died Sunday at her home. Born in Germany, she came to this country a child and had spent most of her life in Tyringham. Mr. and Mrs. McCarthy had observed their 50th wedding anniversary April 19, 1961. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Ward A. McCarthy of South Egremont; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Frazier of Middletown, Conn., Mrs. Marie Voss of Bremmuhlen, Germany, and Miss Emma Storjohann of South Lyme, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be Tuesday at 2 in Union Church in Tyringham with Rev. Franklin L. Couch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Tyringham Cemetery. Visiting hours at the Kelly funeral home in Lee will be tonight from 7 to 9.
