David O. McIver
David O. McIver, 49, of Louisville, Ky., died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville.
Born June 30, 1959, in Beech Grove, he was the son of Donald O. McIver and Gloria (Moss) McIver Smith.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Norman J. Smith of Inverness, Fla.; sons, Wesley (wife, Tabatha) McIver of Fairland and Adam McIver and Andy McIver, both of Naples, Fla.; brothers, James (wife, Pam) McIver of Boggstown and Jeff (wife, Debbie) McIver of Greenwood; stepsisters, Debbie (husband, Randall) Johnson of Flat Rock and Anita (husband, Lou) Cabrera of Valrico, Fla.; and grandchildren, Cameron McIver and Caidence McIver.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. McIver lived in Louisville for two years. He previously lived in Fairland.
He had been a machinist at several different machine shops for 30 years.
Mr. McIver graduated from Triton Central High School in 1977.
His pride and joy were his three sons and his Harley. He loved watching sporting events and wrestling on television and spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in London Cemetery in London.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the David C. McIver Memorial Fund, in care of Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
