Lorene Costner, 91 of Madill, Oklahoma passed away Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Marshall County Medical Center in Madill. Rene was born on January 19, 1917 in Forestburg, Texas to the late Thomas Oscar Lesley and Mary Alice Galmore Lesley. She was raised in the Milburn and Tishomingo area. She married J. C. (Bud) Costner on June 17, 1932 in Tishomingo. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2004. She lived in California where she worked in the Airplane Wire Harness Factory during WWII before moving to Pampa, Texas where she lived most of her life. In 1974 she moved to Sherwood Shores and later in 1994 she moved to Madill where she lived the rest of her life. Rene enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Madill.

Daughter: Elberta Weatherred, Granbury, Texas
Granddaughter: Misti Holland Cummings
Grandsons: Wayne Weatherred, Kevin Costner, Clint Costner
