Mrs. Robbie Curry Carrell, age 88 of Arlington, formerly of Houston, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2008 in the Arlington Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Carrell was born November 23, 1919 in Kennard, Texas and had lived most of her lifetime in Houston. Mrs. Carrell was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Carrell was retired having worked 41 years for Hughes Tool Company as a supervisor and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Arlington.
Survivors include her daughter Diane Carrell Martin and husband Danny Michael, of Arlington; grandchildren Douglas Raymond Carrell Martin, of Hermosa Beach, Calif., Dustin Elliott Martin, of Arlington; close relatives Sandra Currie, Susan Stovall; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by her husbands Douglas Raymond Carrell and Herbert Morgan; parents Shellie Adam Curry, Sr. and Margaret Hannah (Tunstall) Curry; three brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Robbie Curry Carrell were held Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jim Tom Ainsworth officiating. Interment followed in the Corinth Cemetery.
