Death of Sherlock Nave
Sherlock Nave, 82, died Wednesday at the Broadwater Hospital, after being struck by a falling tree while gathering wood.
He was born in Broadwater County in the Crow Creek area July 26, 1898. He was the son of Errandal and Hesther Nave.
He spent his entire life in Broadwater County and ranched for many years in the Crow Creek area.
He married the former Alberta Dance in Missoula, March 16, 1945. They made their home in Townshend.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Maxine Wilcox.
He is survived by his wife Alberta, of Townshend; one son, James Nave of Bozeman; one daughter, Geraldine Boster, of Whitehall; two sisters, Elsie Allinson, of Bozeman, and Agnes Cordy, of Los Angeles, Calif.; several grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Connors Mortuary with the Rev. James O. Anderson of the Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will be in the Deep Creek Cemetery, Townsend.
Pallbearers will be Larry Wilcox, Bret Boster, Bart Boster, William Allen, Harry Anders, Norbert Boeh.
