Born in Buntingville (now the community of Janesville, CA) on February 4th, 1928 to Lassen County natives Theodore and Clarissa (Jellison) French, Echo was raised and educated in Lassen County graduating from Lassen High School as a member of the "Class of 1945".
Following her graduation Echo moved from Lassen County to Greenville to be with with her sister. While attending a dance in Chester she met a handsome young man named Michael Ayoob. On November 1st, 1950 in Las Vegas, Nevada the two were united in marriage and to this union one daughter was born.
Echo could be found alongside her husband Mike operating the families department store, Ayoobs of Greenville until it's closing in 1986. A Charter Member of the Greenville Soroptimist, Echo served as president of the club on more than one occasion. She was a member of the area Bridge Club and enjoyed square dancing. Echo loved to spend her winters cooking and is fondly remembered for her tasty fudge, divinity and penoche. Her yard and garden had received awards on a number of occasions for their beauty.
In passing Echo leaves her daughter and son in law; Diana and Allan Johnson of Lodi, CA and sisters; Fern Stampfli and Helen Carmen both of Greenville, CA.
Echo is predeceased by her husband Michael, seven brothers and three sisters.
