Obituary

It pleased the lord over life and death to take out of the world unto Himself in Heaven our esteemed friend, Henry William Bardoner. He was born in Hamilton county October 18, 1862. In his infant days, he was dedicated to the Triune God by holy baptism, and was brought up in the fear and admonition of the Lord, so that he should be confirmed in his baptismal covenant in the Ev-Lutheran Immanuel Church, near Arcadia, on the 22nd of April 1877, on August 21, 1877, On August 21, 1887 he entered the holy estate of wedlock with Miss Mary Trietsch, the Rev. Hunsman officiating. He was ever an obedient son to his parents, and a loving kind husband to his wife. His last illness was typhoid fever to which he succumbed June 25, 1905, at the age of 42 years, 8 months, and 7 days His end was quiet and peaceful. He fell asleep to the Lord his God, whom he loved and served all his life. His faith in Christ Jesus is the whole secret of life________ The Rev. John bopp, pastor of the Lutheran church at Arcadia, preached the funeral oration from John 16:22, he held out to the bereaved mourners the sweet consolation of meeting their dear one again in Heaven, there. "Where the Saints of all ages in h armony meet, Their Savior and brethren transported to great." He spoke very touchingly of the Christians" reunion in Heaven, show first, its certainity; second, its happiness; third its eternity. The deceased leaves his wife, adopted son, mother, six brothers, and three sisters, besides many other relatives and friends to mourn his death. "For him to live was Jesus, To die was given fr him."foot note from someone in this binder: William is buried in Emanuel Luthern Church Lot 7 Grave 5 Henry W. on Gravestone
