" MRS. STOVER, 87, SUCCUMBS AT RESIDENCE
Emlenton - Mrs. Elizabeth Gertrude Stover, 87, of Emlenton RD 3, died unexpectedly Monday in her home. She was the wife of Nelson Stover. The couple would have celebrated their 68th anniversary Saturday, having wed March 19, 1892. She was born October 25, 1872, in Callensburg, a daughter of the late Dr. Nelson Monroe and Jennie Graham Meals. Mrs. Stover was a member of the West Freedom Rebekah Lodge, the Eastern Star in Sligo, the American Legion Auxiliary in Foxburg and the Callensburg Presbyterain Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Hays Wilson of Strattanville, Mrs. Frank Waddell and Mrs. Lottie Craig of Callensburg, Mrs. Bess Benningger of Irwin, Mrs. Francis Master of Emlenton RD and Mrs. Martha Switzer of Oil City; a son, Cornelius Nelson Stover, and an infant son are deceased. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Allan of Huntington, W.Va., Mrs. Nellie Bunting of Dayton and Mrs. Alice Shaw of Modesta, Calif. The body is at the Hawk Funeral Home, Sligo, where friends may call from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Callensburg Methodist Church with Rev. Mervin Schwab officiating. Interment will be in the Callensburg Cemetery."
