Mrs. Williams had been a charter member of Great Bridge Free Will Baptist Church and the Women's Auxiliary since the church opened. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Eva Elizabeth Morgan; her sisters, Edna Doughty, Dorothy Hughes and her brother, Charles Lloyd Morgan. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Benjamin Ray Williams Sr.; her daughter, Phyllis W. Helton and husband Howard of Sharpsburg, N.C.; her sons, John David Williams and wife Margaret of Ruckersville, Va., Benjamin Ray Williams Jr. and wife Myra of Vero Beach, Fla., Loyed Richard Williams and wife Deborah of Virginia Beach; her sisters, Marion Morgan of Chesapeake and twin sister, Ellena Williams of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Williams died at age 79 peacefully in her home with her family at her side after a long illness.
