Susie (Robinson) Young was born on January 31, 1872 in Williamson County, Tennessee, the daughter of Charles Washington "C W" Robinson (1847–1919) and his 1st wife Catherine Nancy (Skelley) Robinson (1844–1899).
She was married on November 27, 1899 in Maury County, Tennessee to Jacob Ned "J N" Young (1868–1912).
Susie was 55 years old and a widow when her skull was fractured in an automobile accident on December 16, 1927, and she died the same day at Nashville General Hospital. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
