Frances McElveen Ford, 65, of Memphis, homemaker, died Saturday at her home after a stroke. Service's will be at 1:30 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown. She was a member of Whitehaven Baptist Church for more than 40 years. She graduated from South Side High School in 1948. Mrs. Ford, the wife of James W. 'Buddy' Ford, also leaves a daughter, Christe Ford Brown, and a son James Gary Ford, both of Memphis, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Whitehaven Baptist Church or a charity of the donors choice.
