Cookeville Herald April 7, 1932

I A (Alex) Huddleston, aged about 75, a well known and highly respected citizen of the 11th district of this county, died Monday at his home in Rock Spring valley, after an illness of several days.
Except for a few years, many years ago, during which he resided in Cookeville, he had lived all of his life in Rock Spring valley. He was a farmer and a splendid citizen.
Since his boyhood days, he had been a devoted member of the Methodist church. He is survived by his wife and several grown children.
He was a brother of Mrs James A Carlen of this city, and of Jesse Huddleston of Rock Spring valley. He belonged to a large family. Most of his brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon; burial took place in the family cemetery.
The funeral services, which were held at the Rock Springs Church by Rev J L Smotherman of Carthage, was attended by many relatives and friends from throughout the county.
