Robert Allen Anthony died as the results of a piano falling on him, when it was being moved. Robert was 48 years old, and of Montross, Va. He died July 1, 1998 in Riverside Tappahannock Hospital. He was the son of the Late Wilbur Lee Anthony and the Late Lula Lee Jenkins- Anthony -Scates.
Robert was survivied by two sons, Christopher Allen Anthony and William Frederick Anthony, both of Warsaw, Va. One brother, William Elwood Anthony of Sandston; six sisters, Mary A. Hamlett of Appomatox, Ruth M. Thomas of Appomatox, Alice Marie Jordan of Richmond, Hazel A. Onderko of Pelion, South Carolina, Lois A. Parr of Warsaw, and Margaret A. Ratcliffe of Richmond. Funeral services were held July 6, at Welch Funeral Home, Montross with the Rev. Bobby D. Greene officiating. Interment was in the Rappahannock Baptist Church Cemetery, Newland, Va.
