He was married to Adah Pickrell on Oct. 18, 1911. Born were three daughters and a son, Vera of Lincoln, Nellie of Seward, Mary of Rising City and Bill of Seward.
He lived on the home farm near Garland, and after his marriage he moved to Seward where he has made his home for the past 48 years. Survivors include his wife, Adah, three daughters, Mrs. Vera (James) Winter, Mrs. Nellie (John) Odell and Mrs. Mary (Ernest) Chloupek, fourteen grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Otto Imig of San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, Fred Kilzer of Napha Falls, Idaho, Jake Kilzer of of Oaks, N. D., and one half-brother, Louis Kilzer of Laramie, Wyo.; brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
