Mrs. Amanda Kain Fisher, 88, died at 2:35 a.m. Tuesday morning at her home, 1181 Joe St., after an illness of a week, in which, she suffered a stroke of paralysis, Sunday morning. She was the head of a family having 5 living generations. Four children, 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild and 3 brothers survive.
Mrs. Fisher was born 24 June 1847 in Pennsylvania to William and Catherine Earhart and her first marriage was to the Rev. David Kain who held pastorates of Lutheran Churches at Markle and Bluffton, before his death. A son, Clement, and a daughter, Adelia, from the first marriage are deceased. Her second marriage was to Samuel Fisher, who is dead. Burial will be in Albion, Indiana.
