Edward Hellmer was a farmer in Subiaco, Arkansas. His father immigrated from Germany as a stowaway on the ship Pommerania. His mother was Josephine Klaeger Hellmer who was from Saint Joseph, Missouri. He went to the 3rd grade in school. He served in the military in WWI, farmed 60 Acres in mostly Cotton & Corn in Subiaco on Old Military Road. He is buried at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris Arkansas.
