OTTUMWA - Helen D. Kelley, 72, of 530 S. Adella, died Jan. 18, 2001, at her home.

She was born August 27, 1928, to Arthur and Margaret Kline Funk in Ottumwa. She married Maurice H. Kelley on March 5, 1949. He died Nov. 29, 1985.

A lifetime resident of Ottumwa, she had worked at John Morrell & Co., and Canteen Lunch in the Alley.

She is survived by two sons, Craig Kelley of Knoxville, and Joel Kelley of Ottumwa; a daughter, Jane Lamastus of Huntington Beach, Calif.; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; and four brothers, Chuck Funk of Norman, Okla., Arthur Funk, Melvin Funk and John Funk.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Alice White.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. Jerry Ruby Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Brooks Cemetery near Hedrick.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday with the family present at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
