HAMME – On January 3, 1968, at 3:30 a.m., at Homewood Church Home, Hagerstown, Md., Rev. Edward R. Hamme, aged 84 years, 9 months, 26 days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Friday, January 5, at 2 p.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Interment in St. Jacob's (Stone) Church Cemetery, near Glenville. Friends may call at the Geiple Funeral Home Thursday evening from 7 to 9.

Rev. Edward Hamme

The Rev. Edward R. Hamme, 84, a guest at Homewood Church Home, Hagerstown, Md., died today at 3:30 a.m. at the home, following a lingering illness.
He was a son of the late Eli and Mary Rohrbaugh Hamme, of the Brodbeck area, and retired about eight years ago as pastor of the United Church of Christ charge, Silver Run, Md. His first wife was the late Cassie Garman Hamme and his second wife was the late Kathryn Battenfelt Hamme.
He is survived by a brother, Stanley S. Hamme, Hanover; a sister, Mrs. C. Frank Miller, Grantham, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Paul Coover, Westminster, Md.
The Rev. Christopher Noss, Silver Run, his pastor, will conduct the funeral service Friday at 2 p.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Burial will be in St. Jacob's (Stone) Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m.
