Funeral services for Alvin Cicero Bagby were held in Lampasas, Texas.
Bagby, an Ashley native, was taken to Texas as a small child and resided in Blanco county until 1920 when he moved to Lampasas where he operated a cafe with a son until his retirement about seven years ago.
He was married to Miss Virginia McAdams in 1897. She died in 1956.
He is survived by eight children, Roy Bagby, of Texas, Killeen, of Texas; Wheeles of Augusta, Kansas; Willie and Brnuce [Bruce] of Lampasas, Cayce of Eden, Mrs. P. B. Wagner of Blanco, and Mrs. James Brooks and Mrs. Word Jackson of Lampasas; a brother, E. E. Bagby, Dallas, and 22 grandchildren and 13 greatgrand-children.
