My Father - Daid Douglas "Doug" Thompson was born Jan. 14, 1935, in Medford, Oregon. He served in the Air Force and in 1969, he married Patricia K. Merriman. Doug lived in Jacksonville, Oregon for many years before moving to Portland in 1995. During his career he worked as a salesman in the electronics industry and as a safety and health officer for OECO and Celestica. He moved to West Linn in 2005. Doug died of a brain aneurysm at age 73.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Shannon Yearber, Sharon West, Corrine Thompson and Pam Ryan; son, Daniel; and 11 grandchildren.
