Hilda Pauline Knott, 84, of Murray died at 3:10 a.m. Monday at Britthaven Nursing Home in Benton.

Mrs. Knott was a native of Stewart County, Tenn. She was a member of Sinking Springs Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Steve Knott of Murray; two brothers, E.D. Barnes of Dover, Tenn., and Rex Barnes of Clarksville, Tenn.; three sisters, Estelle Shemwell of Big Rock, Tenn., Margaret Lyons of Grand Rivers and Doris Kroeger of Fort Mitchell; one grandson; and one step-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Knott; one brother; and one sister. Her parents were Douglas and Della Carr Barnes.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Murray-Calloway Funeral Home. The Rev. Randy Kuykendall, the Rev. Billy Turner and Mac Smotherman will officiate. Burial will be in Sinking Springs Cemetery.
