Ellen was left a widower with two children.
There were also two-stepchildren, who were the children of Arthur Withers and his first wife Rina Elizabeth Clarke.
* Pearl Withers married Murlie Golden Pates Sr. and she is buried in Oak Hill Cenetery, Fredericksburg, Va.
* Herman A. Withers and his wife Ann are buried in Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Kinsale, Westmoreland County, Virginia
Eliza married second to William Clarence Davis, on November 12, 1930.
They had no children together. This was the second marriage for both Eliza and William Davis. William Davis had married first Julia Saphronia Jenkins and had seven children. Julia died and William Davis was a widow with seven children
When Eliza Ellen Moon-Withers- Davis and William Clarence Davis were older and both sick, they went to live with their children, Eliza with her daughter, Mary Ellen and William with his daughters. William survived Eliza in death.
Mrs. Eliza Ellen Davis, age 88, of Rt. 3, Montross, Va. died Sunday, September 11, 1977 in a Tappahannock Hospital. She was a member of Totuskey Baptist Church, Haynesville. Survivors are her husband, William C. Davis; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Ellen Kilmon; four step-daughters, Mrs. Edgar Chatham, Mrs. Douglas Chatham, Mrs Raymond Chatham, all of Rt. 3, Montross. and Mrs Fred Evans, Coles Point; three stepsons, Clarence Davis of Hyattsville, Md., William A. Davis, Arlington, Va.; and Herman S. Davis, Farnham.; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Beauchamp, Arlington, Va., one granddaughter, Mrs. Robert Budd, Fairfax, Va.; two grandsons, Kenneth W. Withers, Annandale, Va., and Robert Wayne Kilmon, Montross. four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Remains rest at Sanford- Price Funeral Home, Montross, where services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, with interment in Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Kinsale, Va.
