William R. Bullock

William R. Bullock was born May 3, 1837. He was married to Mary Ann Knox in 1856. To this union were born 10 children, 5 girls and 5 boys, 3 are left to mourn the loss of their father.

William was a member of Co. E. 120th Illinois Regiment Vol. Inf. He enlisted and served three years. He was honorably discharged from the service in 1863. He was a good father and a faithful companion.

He was married to Martha Jane ( Kuykendall) House in 1904, and lived a happy and contented life with her as companion. She is left to mourn his departure. She has been faithful in caring for him these many years and has the sympathy of all his friends and neighbors.


Death & Stillbirths No. 1 Pope County 1916 – 1921 states that he died July 14, 1921 in Rock, Pope county, IL at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 11 days. His occupation was farming.

( William is buried by his first wife, Mary, in Mt. Zion Cemetery. His second wife, Martha died September 7, 1925 and is buried beside her daughter, Sallie A.Givens in the Austin Cemetery southwest of Rock.)
