The funeral for Peter Aalgaard, 88, who died Thursday, was held Monday in Faith Lutheran Church in Hannaford.
Mr. Aalgaard was born March 10, 1881, at Gjesdal, Norway and was baptized there. He farmed, had been a Northern Pacific railroad employee, had been employed at grain elevator, was a former member of fire department, and was a city constable at Hannaford. He had lived at Hatton, North Dakota the past two years.
He married Anna Christina Stromme January 12, 1910, who survives with six sons and four daughters; Lief, Robert and Sam, all of Sacramento, California; Algot, Hannaford; Leonard, Grand Forks; Albert, Hollywood, California; Mrs. Helmer (Rose) Brudvig, West Fargo, North Dakota; Mrs. James (Margaret) Porter, Aitkin, Minnesota; Mrs. Lawrence (Rachel) Pratt, Cooperstown; Mrs. Ira (Stella) Larson, Eugene, Oregon, 28 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Oluf and sister, Petra in Norway, also survive.
