Wayne is survived by his wife, Alma of the home. His children are Kennard Bales, Alisa Pinkerton, Debbie Day and husband, Jerry, Kevin Pinkerton and wife, Missy, Cheri Flud, James Pinkerton and wife, Linda, Cherrie Jane Soto and husband, Rodrigo, Gene Stallsworth and wife, Regina and Gary Stallsworth and wife, Joyce.
"Grandpa" Wayne was dearly loved by 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his loving sister, Helen Hardwick and his brother, Harold Joe Pinkerton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Bessie Pinkerton and his brother, Forrest Pinkerton.
Wayne retired from American Airlines in 1985. He and Alma married March 28, 1970, resulting in a blended family and much pride and joy in all those grandchildren. He found so much joy in fishing, hunting, country music and gardening, as well as actively serving his Lord and helping others. He influenced lives, gave hope and encouragement to all he knew. Friends and family alike will miss him, but we are so blessed to know him.
