Died

Mrs. Christina Kerr, died near Kirkville, February 06, 1891. Mother Kerr was aged 73 years and 20 days. The deceased was born in Perry county, Ohio, coming to this county, forty years ago. She leaves a husband with whom she has lived a little over fifty-three years, seven children and twenty-three grandchildren, nearly all of whom were present at the funeral service with a large number of neighbors and friends. the deceased was a faithful wife and a devoted mother. She endured with peculiar fortitude pain's sting and to her death was expected deliverance. Still the news that she is gone grates harshly upon the hearing of those who knew her best.

She was formerly a member of the Luther church. she passed through the valley and shadow without fear for she felt the Everlasting arms beneath her. Her influence remains to cheer those who are endeavoring to walk in the pathway she has journeyed. She was laid gently away at the Eddyville cemetery Sabbath morning. Sympathy goes out to meet the bereaved. Words can do no more now.
