Herman A. May, 85, of Newton, died at 8:46 a.m. on Sunday, April 19, 1987, at the Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson.
Visitation, with prayer services and funeral service, will be held at the Crane Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in St. Marie, with Father Richard Weltin officiating.
Mr. May was born Sept. 12, 1901, in Jasper County, the son of Clarence (Bud) O. and Ora (Manning) May. He married Nina Heimrich on Nov. 25, 1930. She survives.
He was a retired laborer of construction and other building trades and a member of the St. Thomas Apostle Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include one brother, Ralph of Newton; and several nephews.
