Enlisted as a Private on 12 August 1862 in Company F, 131st Infantry Regiment Pennsylvania. Wounded in the hip on 13 December 1862 at Fredericksburg, VA. Died of wounds on 22 January 1863 in Harewood Hospital, Washington, DC.
