Her husband died in Germany before she emigrated with some of her children. Nikolaus Peter Reif was born June 27, 1789 at Reifenmuhle, Morz, Buch, in the Rheinland, and died there June 1, 1852.
Inscription on her tombstone indicates she was the mother of Matthias Reif (who died in 1915 and was buried at St. Ann Cemetery in Francis Creek, Wisconson). Therefore she would have been Peter Reif's mother also (Peter Reif of Reif's Mill in Manitowoc County).

"Location: 0.4 miles south of Hwy. JJ on Hwy. 141 to Ellis St., then west on Ellis St. for about 200' to unmarked dirt road on the north side of Ellis St. About 300' down the dirt road is the cemetery entrance. The cemetery is visible from Hwy. 141. Indexed in June, 1975. ("WC" = wooden cross)"

Anna Maria and Nikolaus Reif were the parents of ten children, only five are shown here. Three of their children died in Germany, a daughter Anna Maria Reif in Manitowoc Co., and a daughter Elisabeth died in Brazil.
