Anna Maria was born in the Rheinland province (not Rheinland-Pfalz which for some reason can't be corrected here). Her birthplace was Sabelsmuhle, Sabershausen. Her parents were named Jacob Sabel and Anna Weyand.
Her husband died in Germany before she emigrated with some of her children. Nikolaus Peter Reif was born June 27, 1789 at Reifenmuhle, Morz, Buch, in the Rheinland, and died there June 1, 1852.
Inscription on her tombstone indicates she was the mother of Matthias Reif (who died in 1915 and was buried at St. Ann Cemetery in Francis Creek, Wisconson). Therefore she would have been Peter Reif's mother also (Peter Reif of Reif's Mill in Manitowoc County).
