'Mrs. Fortenberry Dies in Paris'

'Honey Grove'

'Funeral services for Mrs. Aaron Fortenberry, 67-year-old resident of Honey Grove, were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist church. The Rev. T. J. Watts, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiated. Interment was in Oakwood cemetery.

The pallbearers were Claude Richardson, Manuel Neely, Grover Hall, Clyde Hall, Sherwood Reece and George Simmons.

Mrs. Fortenberry died Tuesday at 4 a.m., April 2, 1957, in a Paris hospital following a short illness.

Survivors are two sons, Alvin Fortenberry of Mesquite, and Elbie Fortenberry of Honey Grove; two sisters, Mrs. Allie Pitts of Boxwell, Okla., and Mrs. Oma Lemons of Bixby, Okla.; two brothers, Leon Hall of Wellington, and Ollie Hall of Honey Grove, and five grandchildren.

Born Feb. 22, 1890 in Fannin County, Mrs. Fortenberry was the former Miss Ruth Italy Hall, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Hall.

Her husband, Aaron Fortenberry, whom she married in 1909, preceded her in death a number of years ago.

She had made her home in Honey Grove many years and she was a member of the First Baptist church.'
