Mrs Lahue of Jackson Township, widow of the late Gaines Lahue died on the 17th at the advanced age of dropsy. She was a noble woman and her loss is felt in the entire community, Gaines and Sarah had 17 children, 6 of whom died of spotted fever (yellow fever) within a few weeks of each other in 1864 and all buried at the Boley-Lahue cemetery near Crandall where Gaines and Sara are buried.
