Mrs. F. H. Spharler passed away at the family home in this city at noon Saturday after an illness of some weeks. For several days family and friends had waited at her bedside, hoping that some change for the better would come--but at twelve-thirty, the tired body released the spirit of this saintly wife and mother and she went to her rest and reward. All the family was present when the end came, also many friends who loved and admired her for her many virtues.

Mrs. Spharler was reared in the Millville community eight miles north of Henderson. She professed faith in Christ and united with the Baptist church when quite young. She held stedfastly to this faith during her long life and in the declining years when afflictions weighed her down, she placed her all on this abiding love of the Master and bore her afflictions without complaint.

The Times joins the friends of the family and the aged surviving husband, in expressions of sympathy.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Sunday afternoon, Rev. J.M.P. Morrow conducting the service.

Interment was in the city cemetery.
