Adam G. Hook, 72 Dies Early Today
Adam G. Hook, 72, died at 5:25 o'clock this morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Leroy Wells, 1322 South J. street. Born August 9, 1873 in Bartholomew county, he was the son of Ephriam and Jane Hook. He was married to Gertie Sosbe in December of 1902. He had resided in Elwood for the past 27 years. Survivors include eight children, Mrs. Leslie Carroll of Piqua, Ohio; Mrs. Ernest Shigley of Kokomo; Charles Hook of Fountaintown; Mrs. O. E. McClellan of Pendleton; Roy Hook, Mrs. Earl Breeze and Forrest Hook all of Tipton and Mrs. Leroy Wells at whose home he died, a brother Ed Hook of Elwood, and a half sister, Mrs. Lizzie Hilton of Tropic, Illinois. There were 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The body was removed to the York Memorial Home on Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev V. Hayes Miller will be in charge. Burial will be made in the City cemetery.
