Mrs. Patricia Gale Thornberry Dangler, 67, of Mt. Pleasant, TN, surrounded by love, peacefully passed away at her residence on Old Gibson Hollow Rd., Thursday, December 18, 2008.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dangler will be conducted Monday, December 22, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rick Points officiating. Entombment will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends Saturday 5:00 to 9:00 PM and Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pat was born on May 16, 1941 in Ann Arbor, MI. Her parents are Juanita Satterfield Thornberry of Michigan and the late Gene Thornberry. She attended and graduated from Ann Arbor High School and Beauty College. On February 4, 1961, she married the love of her life, Edward C. Dangler. She worked as a beautician for a few years and with here love for animals, she worked as a veterinarian assistant and with her husband on their dairy farm. She also enjoyed showing her Arabian horses with her son and others in OH, MI, IN and WI.

Pat introduced her grandson to motocross racing and traveled with him, where she became affectionately known as "Grandma" to hundreds throughout the region.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a son: Edward E. (Linda) Dangler of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; her grandson: Kyle Dangler of Mt. Pleasant; brothers: Roger Thornberry and Delbert (Linda) Thornberry, both of Michigan; aunts: Geneva Shepard of Arkansas and Alice (Robert) Thornton of California; uncle: Clinton (Maybelline) Satterfield of Michigan; cousin: Diane (Sam) Patterson of Michigan and several other cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother Elbert Thornberry.

Pallbearers will be Kane Henson, Brandon Woodard, Brian Hamm, Jason Travis, Eric Chapel, Nolan Riley, Fletcher Lindsey and Richard Wilkes.
