Anne Vaught Pemberton, 57, of Brenham, Texas passed away on December 17, 2008 in Houston, Texas. She grew up in Mountainburg, Arkansas.

She was a graduate of Mountainburg High School. She received a bachelor of science in Education from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas, a master of education from Stephen F. Austin State University at Nacogdoches, Texas, and was pursing doctoral studies at Texas A&M University at College Station Texas. Anne began her teaching career at Kennard, Texas as a teacher and later served as Superintendant of Latexo ISD, Superintendent of Trinity ISD, Superintendent of Culberson County-Allamoore ISD and Human Resource Director for Hempstead ISD. She was a life long Presbyterian.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Amanda Elizabeth Pemberton Scheller; one son, William Reese Pemberton, II and her parents, James Willis and Fanita Denniston Vaught.

Survivors include her two granddaughters, Allison Elizabeth Scheller and Emma Marie Scheller both of Austin, Texas and brother, James Walter Vaught of Mountainburg, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Tim Pense, Dale Willroth, Bobby Willroth, Bill Coleman, David Vaught, Jerry Willroth and Harvey Pense.
Her life will be best remembered for her enduring love of family and friends.
