LeRoy E. Seckinger, 71, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Monday, March 20th, at his home. LeRoy was a Marine veteran of World War II and received a Bronze Star for action in the Pacific Theatre. He had been a distribution clerk for the U. S. Postal Service for 17 years, retiring in 1986. Roy was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Council #709 of the Knights of Columbus, Wyandotte County Chapter #1 of the Disabled American Veterans, Post #869 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Topeka, Kansas, Post #53 of the American Legion, Kaw Chapter of the American Postal Workers Local Union and the A.A.R.P.

Roy was survived by his daughter, Wanda Levsen, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; sister-in-law, Marie Seckinger, and a niece, Dianne Robinson, both of Scottsdale, Arizona; and four grandchildren.

Friends called on Thursday evening, March 23rd, at the Simmons Chapel, where the Rosary was said later that night. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday morning at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial followed in Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa.
