Jennie Ann Bono, 89, of Springfield died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 15, 1909, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the daughter of Alfonso and Rosa Maria Barbaro Greco. She married Giocchino "Jack" Bono in 1924; he preceded her in death in 1959. Mrs. Bono was a lifelong resident of Springfield. She retired from Greco Sales. She was a member of St. Agnes Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters of America and the Italian Madonna Society, having served as past president.

Survivors: a daughter, Mrs. Tom (wife, Rosemary) Sapp of Springfield; a son, Andrew "Andy" J. (wife, Ura) Bono of Springfield; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Alfonso "Babe" (wife, Marie) Greco of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services: Concelebrated funeral Mass, Blessed Sacrament Church, the Rev. Mark Schulte as main celebrant, with the Rev. Patrick Wright and the Rev. Robert Becker as co-celebrants. Burial: Calvary Cemetery.
