James Columbus Fulford, 64, of Callao, died October 21, 2001, after a long battle with cancer. He was an active member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, VFW Post #7167, Warsaw, and the American Legion. Mr. Fulford was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and a retired electrician.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Fulford; five daughters and their husbands, Sherry Swanson of Lanexa, Penny Barton and Glenda Newsome of Lottsburg, Kathy Rock of Ophelia, and Jamie Bowen of Village; a brother, Ralph Fulford of Callao; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. October 24, at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Emmerton, with Rev. Allen B. Hopkins and Rev. James W. Dunn officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Pat Henry, Bobby Franklin, Russell King, Larry Jenkins, Mark Carpenter, Tony Collins, Jim Morgan, Len Gaskins, and Steve Whiteway.
