Born May 22, 1925, at Sun Hill, she was the daughter of the late Gentry Cline (1882-1968) and Celia L. "Dolly" Harvey-Cline (1888-1954).
Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Wyoming County. She was an employee of Robert's Motel in Oceana. She was of the Baptist faith. She was loved by all who knew her and she will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Bailey (1914-1957) whom she married on January 21, 1944 in Pineville, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1944, Page 296, Application Date: January 21, 1944); sisters, Francis "Frankie" Cline-Goodman (1913-Deceased), Lake "Lackie" Cline-Belcher (1909-Deceased) and Victoria Cline-Toler (1916-1981), brothers, Bert Cline (1904-1967), Loren "Cat" Cline (1908-2010), Allen Cline (1917-1992), and Dell E. Cline (1919-1977); a grandson, Larry Eugene Blevins (1967-1967); son-in-law, Robert "Bobby" Joseph Blevins (1939-1982); and two granddaughters-in-law, Latonya Browning (Deceased) and Dana Bailey (Deceased).
Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Helen "Rita" Bailey-Toler (1953-2013) and her husband, Jimmy Toler, of Lynco, Georgia Geraldine Bailey-Blevins (1946-2018) of Kopperston and Mildred Bailey-Morgan and her husband, Jackie Morgan, of Sun Hill; a son, Gene Bailey and wife, Sherry Bailey, of Sun Hill; two sisters, Garnett M. Cline-Hatfield (1923-2017) of Sun Hill and Ida Marie Cline-Pinchback (B. 1931) and her husband, Jack Thomas Pinchback (B. 1932), of Brenton; special grandson, Donald Bailey; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
A celebration of Elouise's life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Sun Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Landon Kennedy officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.
