The sudden death of Merritt Sherd at his home in Grand Rapids Thursday night came as a shock to relatives and friends. Merritt would have been 41 years old next March. He was born in Bushnell the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Sherd.
His life was spent here until he went to Grand Rapids to work shortly after his marriage. He was married to Miss Mildred Eitelbuss on June 21, 1924. To their union six children were born. Billy Edward, Donald, Jimmy, Dickie and Norma who are left with the widow. There is also an aged mother, four brothers, many nieces and nephews.
