Rose Marie Crain, of Las Cruces, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005 with her two sons by her side. She was born Dec. 8, 1922 in Arabela, NM. Rose retired in 1983 from the State of New Mexico Employment Security Commission, where her main purpose was helping the public, high school students and military veterans to gain direction in their work field. She was a member of San Albino Catholic Church. Her many hobbies included bowling, baking with her family members but most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends who knew and loved her.

Rose is survived by her two sons Billy Romero and his wife Connie of El Paso, TX and Eddie Crain of Pagosa Springs, CO; sisters Lola Parrish and husband Bill of Ruidoso, NM and Connie Gutierrez of Las Cruces; grandsons William Edward Romero and Robert Edward Crain; great-grandsons Liam Edward Romero and David Grey Romero also by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Rose was preceded in death by her brother Mike Romero.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7:00 PM. The funeral mass is at 10:00 AM Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005 at San Albino Catholic Church with Msgr. Bob Getz officiating. Rite of Committal will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers are William Edward Romero, Robert Edward Crain, Frances Olona, Janet Duff, Christopher Montoya and Michael Romero. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Parrish, Ernie Parrish, Bill Denney and Gary Nuanez.
