The Family settled in the Hessen Hills of Lawrence Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, near what is Bolivar today. Conrad S. was the first Catholic School Teacher in Tuscarawas County at Old St. Peters. His farm lay adjacent to the church.
He later, about 1865, came to Canton, Stark County, Ohio.
